it's 9 degree celcious here in tokyo, japan and i'm still on a high from the recent apec event the last days of this week

took the first flight to tokyo, japan right after my work for the latenight newscast last friday

where renz ongkiko monitors the epek of apec! and that's trapik mess in edsa! although it isn't anything new

there were commuters and drivers lament on the epek of the trapik congestion during the apec week and its culmination


and although many were dissatisfied, this high-profile meeting of world leaders is beneficial to our country and especially to our economy

of what i've known, the last apec summit held here in the philippines was in 1996 in subic, i remember, bill clinton, the then us president was here

apec tackeld sustainable issues and inclusive growth in asia-pacific

by way of presenting ideas on innovation, pushing boundaries, strategic initiatives towards poverty and climate change,

i cannot explain the economic effects, not that i know of, i'm not too familiar with that

but the best people that could explain these further, are my colleagues at bloombergtv philippines,

and i can only speak for the behind-the-scenes! during the week-long apec week! 

there's an extensive media coverage that includes international media center at the world trade center just few meters away from picc

the imc serves as the media and communication hub   

that provides broadcast feeds live from different locations, from airport to
all other apec meetings in picc and across the metropolis

this also where we get raw footage from different events and live feeds from the pool broadcast

there are also individual broadcast booth for various broadcasting networks, both foreign and local, 

among local stations, we're the only one that occupied a large booth


that serves as our newsroom as well as our technical office for editing and directing

as well as for live broadcast to tv5, aksyontv and bloombergtv philippines

i also initiated and provided a huge board that contains pictures with names of all the leaders of the world,

it was very useful and ehem informative!

erwin tulfo did his anchoring duties on location at the world trade center for aksyon primetime

while this was the third time this year, that i've worked with huge numbers of reporters since sona and papal visit
