i'd like to end my banner year by sharing one of the biggest accomplishment i've done so far!

i've completed all the wednesdays novena of 2011!

my journey and devotion to Mary our Mother of Perpetual Help in the redemptorist church at baclaran began when i was 5 years old

but it was only in 2001 that i started novena in earnest to include recitation of novena and the rosary

my mother would always take me to the shrine every wednesday and occasionally on my birthdays thereon and simbang gabi

considering the work load i've had this year and the brutal schedule and all

and by all possible means, i was still able to make it

to the redemptorist church and or the shrine of jesus every wednesdays!, attending either mass or benediction

the Novena booklet

and i now consider myself as a truly Marian devotee and in the last 10 years of praying the novena,

i can already recite the entire novena in english or tagalog, without even looking at the booklet

aside from the redemptorist church, i also go to other churches that hold forth novena to our Mother of Perpetual Help on wednesdays,

the Shrine of Jesus and the Shrine of Saint Therese in pasay and the Edsa Shrine in quezon city, and in greenbelt chapel

doing this in the last 10 years has brought significance changes in my life

i find inner peace and comfort whenever on distress

this sheds light in my doubts

apart from my personal intentions that's granted, more than anything, i celebrate thanksgiving

Mama Mary thank you for the mercy, steadfast grace, inspiration and guidance for me to go on and thank you for absolutely everything
