HOME ALONE
-ryandgreat
while my family goes on touristy sightseeing trips all over the northern hemisphere last weekend,
i was left at home by myself on the day after christmas!
yes i'm home alone just like of that popular 90's christmas movie starring macaulay culkin
oh the lonely weekend i've ever had!
usually i'm on work mode after christmas and before new year in preps for our news year coverage
except this year because tv5's entertainment division is in charge of the new year salubong
and our regular work will resume the following morning on the first day of 2015
so instead of going out to watch film fest movies! (na ke chaka lahat) but i have to admit i watched shake, rattle and roll! sorry!
and so what's more appropriate than watching my peyborit movie of all time home alone while i'm home alone
i've seen this film for about hundred times already! no kidding!
i remember we watched this in greenbelt theater, i must have been 8 years old when this film premiered
and we also have a vhs copy in which i get to watch it over and over again and eventually i bought vcd and dvd and occasionally watch this
it never gets old! and i've already memorized some of the lines in the film!
the story is about kevin mccallister and he was left behind by his family for a christmas vacation to paris
it was unintentional, the whole family wasn't aware of it!
and when kevin found out of his situation, he rejoiced like there's no tomorrow!
my favorite scene is when he goes on a shopping all by himself! and it's fun to watch it
but he's also had the share of misadventures when on christmas eve,
two burglars were trying to sneak to their house and he has no choice but to defend it by all means
and we know for a fact that he's not capable of doing that and its hard to imagine an 8 year old kid trying to secure his house all by himself?!
only the brave and the brilliant can do that!
he actually did! he's had master plan that includes
rigging the entire house and set-up traps and obstacles so that the burglars should fall off as they try to sneak inside the house
and then a good neighbor came in to rescue kevin
and after that, on the actual Christmas morning as kevin woke up with hopes that his family might come home and to his surpise, they're actually there!
home alone it's extremely funny and at the same time it's also heartwarming!
and there's nothing like spending the season of Christmas with our loving family. to everyone! good cheers! and merry christmas!
