and that brought a significance change in our news organization 

having the trademark aksyon that transcends from primetime and it got off to a running start after a month

while the format of aksyon sa tanghili is similar to the format of the years ago defunct balitanghali of amelyn veloso and raffy tulfo now with cherie mercado

and the latenight newscast pilipinas news becomes aksyon tonite with paolo bediones and cheryl cosim

but it wasn't too long ago that there's aksyon jounalismo that's a predecessor of pilipinas news

and the primetime newscast is now being led by tv5 news chief luchi cruz-valdes with erwin tulfo 

mam luchi brought her reaksyon segment to aksyon primetime by interviewing the most talked about personality of the day

we've had the opportunity to produce some of the interviews for reaksyon through remote broadcast

it's a butch abad kind of work day on 24th july at senate

we aired a special coverage on aksyon tv channel 41, aksyon tanghali, 

two live reports for aksyon primetime by mae anne los banos and a taped interview for reaksyon

department of budget and management secretary butch abad faces the senate for an investigation

on the highly controversial disbursement acceleration program fund or dap 

where he further explains the benefit of dap to the public for the economic growth

on that night, we aired two stories for aksyon primetime, 

the first one was about senator nancy binay questioning dbm secretary butch abad on different issues, on transportation and health projects

and the second report is a brief summary of the entire hearing

last week, there were seemingly more relevant tasks than the usual

and it's also unusual to get a complete attendance for the primetime newscast so i call it the werk week!

on monday, militants gathered at plaza miranda quiapo to protest on the disbursement acceleration program issues and questions pnoy's stand

on maintaining its position that it's legal while the supreme court had declared it's unconstitutional

there's also a reaction from the militant groups with kabataan partylist representative op cors they're not satisfied on pnoy's speech!

but on tuesday we had a different news story, the impending bagyo glenda that enters par

on sunday 13th july, bagyo glenda has entered par and was located 1,100 km east of legaspi city,


on the following day pagasa warns the public for possible landslides, flash floods, heavy rains and storm surge on the affected areas

most of schools in metropolis cancelled their classes as well as government offices and some private companies

projection tells that the typhoon is expected to pass manila bay

radyo5 reporter turned tv reporter jv arcena monitors the coastal area along manila bay

shipping vessels are refrained from travelling and those who are in the coastal villages are advised to evacuate as storm surges are expected to surface

and on wednesday the storm moves to northern part of the country and crossing bataan ans zambales with strong winds of 140 kph

and the badly hit by bagyo gloria is the province of bataan

kaye imson reports on the devastation of mostly affected areas of bataan, resulting to severe damage and washout of more than fifty houses


bataan pdrrmc notes that eight thousand and five hundred families were affected onslaught of bagyo glenda

and more than two thousand families were transferred to evacuation center

and thank goodness for the guidance knowing full well that if we fail this can cause a slap on wrist

and it can be told now that next week aksyon newscast will become aksyon newscasts from morning, lunchtime until latenight

i'm actually excited for this development in progress!
