we've held the most anticipated political circus of 2013!
there were two local elections, the national midterm elections on may and the other one last october for the barangay elections
three years ago we first experienced the automated election using pcos machines
and it was quite impressive because we've seen how far we can get in terms of technology

along with that is the extent of social media that played a vital role during election
the use of twitter and fb were utilized by traditional media that helped them deliver the up-to-date election results and reactions as well!
and during 2013 elections, how did we fair in our news coverage?
well the advantage of tv5 among other tv networks is that we have smart and pldt
news5 everywhere, an on-line news portal made for livestreaming of news clips and newscasts that are mostly election related
the content is being provided by news5 and all its platforms (interaksyon and radyo5)
our reporters in the field have also explored the use of lte technology where they conducted a live report using their iphone!

on the election week, came also the results, the protests and the proclamation!
and lastly the final results and proclamation of winners on 18th may at the picc tent

i hope that our elected leaders regard these events with utmost prudence
and please focus more on climate change that's something should not be taken for granted
for now, we all can only do so much as we look back at 2013
and shall move to better days ahead, all the way! ..
